State-of-the-art formulations

At yuv®, we prioritise excellence in hair colour technology. Our state-of-the-art formulations feature cutting-edge ingredients, such as ME-PPD, Arginine, and Malic (Maleic) Acid. This powerful trio ensures vibrant, long-lasting colours while minimising the risk of developing an allergic reaction.

Colour Theory: Primary Colours

Red, yellow, and blue are considered the primary colours in the colour wheel. By combining these primary tones in various proportions, you can create a wide spectrum of millions of colours.

lorem

Colour Theory: Secondary & Tertiary

This mixing process is based on colour theory, where different combinations of primary colours produce secondary and tertiary colours.

For example:
Red + Yellow = Orange (secondary colour)
Yellow + Blue = Green (secondary colour)
Blue + Red = Purple (secondary colour)

These secondary colours can then be further mixed with primary colours or other secondary colours, leading to an endless range of shades.

lorem

Create and dispense millions of professional formulas in seconds

Using the yuv® app, expand your creativity with simple yet extremely powerful controls. From quarter shades to the addition of tertiary tones, pH control, and many more options at your command.

lorem

The 4 Base Cans

Black, Brown, Blonde and Clear form the foundation of the whole levelling system. By mixing these in varying quantities the yuv® Lab has the ability to create any level, including in-between ¼, ½ and ¾ shades.

Black and brown create depth and intensity from levels 1-4,  brown and blonde together create neutral bases from 5-7, and mixing blonde and clear will create the perfect base for lighter tones 8-10. By adjusting these combinations, colourists precisely control depth and tone, unlocking a vast range of bespoke and personalised hair colours with the yuv® Lab.

lorem

Dynamic Developer Control

The yuv® Lab's 5 vol and 40 vol developer cans empower colourists to craft any desired level between the two with precise concentration adjustments. The 40 vol option, with a higher hydrogen peroxide concentration, achieves significant lift, while the 5 vol choice is ideal for darker results or deposit-only applications.

By blending these developers in various ratios, colourists can control lift levels, creating a spectrum of developer concentrations. This dynamic system offers ultimate flexibility, allowing colourists to tailor hair colours precisely to diverse client preferences and needs.

lorem

pH Booster

The yuv® Lab's pH booster, containing ammonia, transforms demi-permanent colours into permanent ones. Demi-permanent colours gradually fade over shampoos, lacking deep penetration. Ammonia in the pH booster opens the hair cuticle further, allowing for deeper penetration.

By adding pH booster and driving the pigment deeper into the cortex achieving more vibrant and longer lasting results. This versatile solution allows colourists to accommodate diverse client needs, offering flexibility and customisation in professional hair colouring with the yuv® Lab.

ME-PPD is up to 70x less likely to cause a new allergic reaction.*

ME-PPD replaces the need to use PPD which are one of the main sources of allergic reactions in other hair colour lines.

*PPD EC3 value = 0.06% vs ME-PPD EC3 value of 4.3%.

"ME-PPD has significantly reduced skin sensitising properties compared to PPD or PTD."
